FULL CIRCLE...

In our October newsletter we told you about our burning desire to implement Operation Shelter and Operation Running Wire, a project which will work hand in hand with and compliment our weekly mass animal sterilisation, primary treatment and emergency medical assists programme.

Every home we visit to install a running wire or erect a kennel will be an opportunity for us to assist and educate pet guardians and collect the names and addresses of cats or dogs who need our veterinary assistance.

Can you imagine the profound physical and psychological impact this will have on thousands of canine and human residents in Khayelitsha?

For every 10 tickets sold SA.MAST
will be able to do the following:

  • Sterilise a cat or dog in Khayelitsha and ensure that the patient is vaccinated and treated for internal and external parasites.
  • Provide a kennel to a dog in desperate need of shelter and a soft place to lay their head.
  • Erect a running wire for a dog that is cruelly tied up.
  • Provide a lead and collar (which we make from scratch) and take off the wires, belts and heavy chains!
  • Provide one day's employment to an unemployed animal lover living in Khayelitsha.
