WHY ON EARTH ARE WE GIVING AWAY VOUCHERS?

The vouchers are sponsored by an anonymous donor. This type of competition will grow our circle of friends on WHATSAPP too – another great way to deliver news or ask a question.

AFTER ALL WHAT ARE FRIENDS FOR?

Competition runs from 22 Feb-15 March 2021

The SA.MAST Animal Clinic IN Cape Town’s largest and fastest growing township, Khayelitsha, is giving away the LAST R1000.00 gift voucher up for grabs. PAW-Some!

SA.MAST is the only animal welfare organisation to conduct a continuous mass animal sterilisation with primary treatment programme in Khayelitsha - a vast township straddling the busy N2 highway.

Having sterilised and treated over 24 000 cats and dogs in Khayelitsha already, can you imagine the number of unsupportable births or stray dog attacks we have prevented? What about the number of zoonotic infections that haven't spread from animal to human or the number of dogs who haven't been knocked over or been the cause of a major accident on the N2 highway?

What we do matters:
To the animals. To the Khayelitsha residents. And to everyone else in Cape Town too.

HOW ARE WE HELPING TO KEEP YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, COLLEAGUES, EMPLOYEES & YOU SAFE?

Zoonosis are diseases and infections that are transferable from affected animals to humans.
Covid-19 is a zoonotic infection.

At SA.MAST we believe that we must act to give meaning to the CoCT motto:
Making progress possible. Together. And we do.

Since 2009 we have been the only organisation to consistently conduct a free mass sterilisation with primary treatment programme throughout this massive community - despite unimaginable challenges. While we will continue to stand between animal overpopulation with its attendant consequences for all Cape Town residents, our greatest fear, following the 2020 shack land invasions surrounding our clinic is: Shack Fires. It will destroy everything in its path.

We must move to a safe and secure location and will need your assistance in the coming weeks and months.

"To ensure the City of Cape Town will be a healthier city with adequate and equitable distribution of resources to render quality, comprehensive, cost-effective primary health care services. This will be achieved through a district health system with a committed and dynamic workforce supported by strong, competent shared leadership with collaboration and commitment from the community and other partners."

Dr Paul Nkurunziza
Acting Director: City Health
